Benalmadena is one of the most popular tourist resorts on the Costa del Sol, especially amongst the British. With its 30,000 inhabitants and at just 20 km from Malaga Airport Benalmadena is divided into three zones: the village of Benalmádena, Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena-Costa. During the busy summer months the population increase by more than triple.

The Harbour at Benalmadena has 960 mooring for boats of different sizes. In Benalmadena there are plenty of places to visit. Amongst them the theme parks such as Tivoli World, one of the largest and most popular funfairs in Spain, Selwo Marina with its penguins and dolphins and Sea Life or the Cable Car with breathtaking views of the Coast from Malaga to almost Fuengirola.

The city of Marbella (picture: The Old Town of Marbella)

The old town of Marbella (PICTURED) is characterised by a labyrinth of narrow streets, ancient churches and small squares adorned with endemic plants, trees and flowers. In this characteristic part of the city time passes slower than everywhere else in town. The homes and shops blend together to create the atmosphere of a small village. Outside this maze of streets, along the beaches and the central Paseo Maritimo, a long promenade along the sea-front, Marbella regains the look of a cosmopolitan town. The heart of the Old Town is the well known Plaza de los Naranjos or Orange Square, which has small shops, art galleries, bars, restaurants and bistros.
